Biography
Brent Wilder joined Public Financial Management in 2009 as a Senior Managing Consultant in the firm’s Orlando office. Mr. Wilder has 23 years experience in the financial services industry, the last 17 years of which have been dedicated to serving the financing needs of municipal clients. Throughout his career, he has served in the roles of credit provider, financial advisor, and investment banker for a variety of municipal clients in seven states. Prior to joining PFM, he was a Director in the Municipal Securities Group of Citigroup Global Markets where he focused on the needs of Florida governmental clients. During that time, Mr. Wilder served as has lead investment banker to the City of Orlando for its $1.1 billion Community Venues program, in partnership with Orange County, to build a new events center (home to the Orlando Magic NBA franchise), a performing arts center, and renovated Citrus Bowl stadium.
Mr. Wilder has represented cities, counties, community development districts, and municipal utilities and has also completed dozens of conduit financings for solid waste, manufacturing and airport facilities. He has extensive experience with non traditional forms of financing including the application of interest rate management techniques such as interest rate swaps, swaptions and basis swaps. Mr. Wilder also has a successful history of working with rating agencies, bond insurers and other market participants. His experience serving as an investment banker for the leading firm on Wall Street provides PFM’s clients with a unique perspective of investor preferences and the nuances of pricing and underwriting municipal bonds.
Mr. Wilder received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from the University of Tennessee and holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses. He is also an active sponsor and past speaker for FSFOA, FGFOA, and FAC.
