Dan Sammons

Biography

Dan Sammons is the President and CEO of LBF Solutions, a professional services company based in the Central Florida area, and has served on the Board of Directors since 2012. Dan is an executive-level professional with over 25 years experience. An energetic, top performer with proven leadership and motivation skills, he has successfully cultivated and led “high performance teams” in new revenue identification, business capture, and proposal development in the Defense, Homeland Security, and Federal Agency markets. His experience spans all branches of the military services.

He has worked for multiple companies, large and small businesses, and brings a wealth of understanding of what works and what doesn’t when it comes to winning new business and sustaining growth. Over the last several years, Dan has been strategically focused on supporting companies providing technology based training solutions to soldiers, sailors, marines, and airman.

Prior to his success in the Modeling & Simulation market, Dan spent over a decade in the Aerospace Industry. During this time, he successfully generated new business and led complex multi-disciplined engineering teams in advanced technology development. He also personally provided systems engineering and mechanical design engineering support for several major defense projects.

Prior to entering civilian life, Dan served in the US Navy Nuclear Submarine Force. He successfully qualified as a submarine warfare officer and was certified as a Nuclear Engineer by the Department of Energy. He managed and provided technical oversight of daily in-port and at sea submarine wide operations on a 688 Los Angeles Class fast attack submarine. He continuously trained and qualified junior officers and enlisted personnel for combat readiness and submarine watch-standing responsibilities. He successfully planned, coordinated, and supervised quality repairs and upgrades of nuclear power systems, electronics, and high pressure hydraulic, pneumatic and sea water systems during extensive ship overhaul periods.

Dan Sammons is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics. He has been a FL resident since 2002, residing in both Orange and Seminole counties.
